Willie Mae Wright

Willie Mae Wright, 91, passed away on October 26, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Willie Chadwick and was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wright and siblings, Bobby Chadwick, Lucille Meyers and Jessie Chadwick, Sr.

Willie Mae was a loving soul with a heart of gold. She touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, love, and caring spirit. She was a devoted sister who will always be remembered for the love she shared and the warmth she brought into the lives of others. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and beautiful memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sisters, Clara Wagner and Pearly Leonard and her nieces and nephews, including David Meyers and Jessie Chadwick, Jr. who helped care for her. She is also survived by her dear friends at the Need Too Feed.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 PM. Willie Mae will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
