William Kittle

William E. Kittle, age 88, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett J. Kittle and Ada Anderson Kittle.

He is survived by his brother, Samuel E. Kittle; sister-in-law, Mozelle; nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to caregiver Peter Bek.

Mr. Kittle earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mercer University and two master’s degrees from the University of Georgia. Mr. Kittle taught in Dalton Public Schools for 34 years. He was named Dalton Public Schools Teacher of the Year 1986-87. He was STAR Teacher of the year four times. Mr. Kittle touched many lives throughout his teaching career.

In keeping with Mr. Kittle’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or service of any kind. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Love Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
