Gary Smith

Gary Smith, 72, of Dalton, passed away at his home on Friday, July 8. He is preceded in death by his parents, W. R. (Buddy) and Sue Smith, and his sister, Kay Thompson.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lynn; son, Bryan; grandchildren, Frank Smith, Holland Smith, and Sara Reeves Stuckey; sister-in-law, Marcia (Ray) Evans; niece and nephew, Courtney (Jason) Brock and Raygan (Jordan) Evans; and great-niece, Caitlin Brock.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Gary worked in retail carpet sales in Dalton. He was an avid sports fan and participant. A private family service will be held. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to one’s favorite charity.
