Vinson Smith

Mr. Vinson Smith, age 92, of Resaca, Ga. Passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. He was born on February 6, 1934. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his loving wife Dimple Sue Brown Smith, son, JW Lamar Smith, parents, Benjamin and Josie Smith, siblings, Alma, Pearline, Elsie, Opal, Bernice, Ann, Dimple Sue, Martha, Hulen, and Douglas.

Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Denton Smith, Lamont Smith (Angie) and Suzanne Wilson (Addison), sister, Jean Arrington, and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat Baby.

Funeral services for Mr. Vinson Smith will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. interment will be at Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested to make donations to the Humane Society of NWGA, 1210 Veterans Dr. Dalton, GA. 30721.
