Tyrene Teasley Thompson Epperson

Surrounded by her loving family, Tyrene Teasley Thompson Epperson, 94, of Dalton, passed away at Hamilton Medical Center on Friday, August 5, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Epperson; parents, Jess and Jessie Teasley; brothers, Brad, George, Chubb, Farris, and her triplet brothers Troy and Tasker Teasley; sisters, Pearl Simpson, Francis Beal, Beulah Gribble, and Lona Gordon; and grandsons, Mathew Thompson and David Newton.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Newton of Chatsworth, Peggy and Ronald Vinyard of Dalton, Betty and Charles (Bubba) Coffey of Rocky Face; her sons and daughters-in-law, James (Buster) and Brenda Thompson of Dalton, Michael and Debra Thompson of Chatsworth, and J.B. Tasker (Tack) and Sharon Thompson of Dalton; thirteen (13) grandchildren, Junior and Brandy Newton, Beth and Michael Cantrell, Amy Vineyard, Jennifer and Robert Hosford, Jessica and Larry (Buck) Trimble, Jeremy and Hollie Thompson, Jo and Jessica Thompson, Vickie Huffington, Emily and Jason Blackwell, Kayla Dean, Paige Thompson, and Stefanie Mantooth; twenty-two great-grandchildren; eighteen (18) great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Eileen and Ilene Teasley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Tyrene’s life will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church (no graveside service).
