Rickey Herrera

Rickey Herrera, 66, of Resaca, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymon and Mary Jean Herrera; brothers, Glenn and Raymon Herrera; and son, Steven Herrera.

Rickey was a strong-willed, loving, and good-hearted man who lived life on his own terms. Known for his unforgettable personality and sense of humor, he had a way of making people laugh, feel welcome, and know they mattered. He was always willing to lend a hand or do whatever he could to help.

To his family, he was Dad, Grandpa, and a loved one whose presence will be deeply missed. They will cherish the stories, laughter, conversations, phone calls, and countless little moments that made him who he was.

He is survived by his wife, Carla Herrera; daughter, Sharon Verner (Jeffery); grandchildren, Madison and Aubree Verner; siblings, Lisa Kelley (Ron) and Douglas Herrera (Kathye); and several nieces and nephews.
