Rhonda Sue Short Eldridge

Ms. Rhonda Sue Short Eldridge, age 55, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Rhonda was born on Thursday, February 4, 1971, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Randal Ridley and Mrs. Vivian Sue Shook Fountain.

After graduating from Southeast Whitfield High School, Rhonda went on to pursue her cosmetology education at Dalton Beauty College.  She had a passion for cutting hair and helping people look and feel their best.  She had a long and successful career as a hair stylist, working for some of the biggest names in the cosmetology industry, including Great Clips and SmartStyle.  In addition to cutting hair, Rhonda loved fishing and gardening, and when her schedule allowed for it, spending time on the beach.  She especially loved her fur babies, Daisy, Tyra, and Maximus.  To know Rhonda was to love her, and she will be truly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.

In addition to her father, Randal Ridley, Rhonda is preceded in death by her uncle, Ricky Shook. 

In addition to her mother, Vivian Sue Shook Fountain, Rhonda is survived by her children, Chyna Cheyanne Wilson and Austin (Tuana) Eldridge, as well as the father of her children, Donnie Eldridge.  She is also survived by her brother, Michael Todd (Lacey) Ridley, as well as her grandson, Landen Cade Wilson.

Rhonda is further survived by her uncles, Jerry Shook and Robby Shook, as well as their families; her aunts, Theresa Shook and Darline Shook; and her nephew, Grayson Cole Ridley.

Rhonda is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews from both her father's family as well as her mother's family.

Rhonda's family will conduct a Memorial Service and lay her to rest at a later date.  Her cousin, Chad Shook, will officiate the service.
