Nancy Foster Mitchell Moore

Nancy Foster Mitchell Moore, 82, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025.

Nancy was an active member of the community of Dalton for over 50 years and will be missed by many. She worked at Shaw Industries and Gene Rogers Construction. After retirement she worked at Lowes for many years. She enjoyed performing in the Dalton High School Straw Hat Follies and playing golf. She was a member of the Dalton Golf and Country Club and played in many tournaments for the American Cancer Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Verna Mitchell and her son Robert (Bobby) Foster all of Dalton, Georgia. Also preceding her was her brother, Gary Mitchell of Rochester, New York and her sister, Janet Minor of Davenport, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Moore of Dalton, Georgia, daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Richardson and Charlie of Fort Pierce, Florida and Elizabeth Sides and Steven of Charleston, South Carolina, and a (cousin) honorary daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Groves and Randy of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Carl Minor of Davenport, Iowa and a sister-in-law, Joanne Mitchell of Rochester, New York, grandchildren, Amanda and Carter, a niece and nephews, Karen, Greg, Jeff, Michael, and Paul and cousins, Jonathan, Patrick, Lauren, Jameson, and Landen.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Love Funeral Home in Dalton, Georgia.
