Michael Scott Hardin

Mr. Michael Scott Hardin, age 59, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Scott was born Friday, December 10, 1965, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. John Russell Hardin and Mrs. Pauline 'Polly' Armstrong Hardin.

Scott was a 1983 graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School, and went on to obtain his associate's degree from Dalton State College.  He furthered his education by obtaining his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia before going on to pursue his master's degree from Chadwick University.  Scott went on to have a successful career working in both the pharmaceutical field as well as in the field of nursing homes/long-term care facilities.  He spent most of his adult life living and working throughout the Atlanta area.

In addition to his father, Scott is preceded in death by his sisters, Pamela Hardin, Patricia Hardin, and Regina Hardin.

Scott is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Polly Hardin of Dalton; his brothers, Mark (Deborah) Hardin of Calhoun, Georgia, Tim Hardin of Dalton, and Jeff (Kerri) Hardin of Knoxville, Tennessee.  Scott is further survived by his nephews, Garrick Hardin of Hoschton, Georgia, and Jared Hardin of Dalton, as well as his uncle, Paul (Sue) Armstrong of Dalton.

Scott's family will hold a private service to honor and celebrate his life.  His family will lay him to rest with his father in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
