Marilyn Kerr Arthur

Mrs. Marilyn Kerr Arthur, age 89, a lifelong resident of Dalton, GA departed this life and entered paradise on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, while in Regency Park Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death and the daughter of Ralph and Chessie Kerr; her husband of 51 years, Harry Lane Arthur; son, Lane Leftwich Arthur; brother, Jack Kerr.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and the Honorable Bradley Scott Martin “Scotty”; granddaughter, Marilynn Martin Schenck (Phillip) of Acworth, GA; grandson, Murphy Scott Martin (Hannah); great-grandchildren, Harper Scott Martin and Harrison Murphy Lee Martin of Destin, FL; great-nephew, Jake Kerr and his family of Apison, TN; daughter-in-law, Teresa Griffin Arthur “Terri” of Dalton, GA.

She was “The Memaw” and we are blessed by her love for us and give thanks for her. The family would like to thank everyone at Regency Park for their compassion, kindness and such good care. Also, those who helped us through a difficult time by the giving of their time. “As for me I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me” Psalm 55:16. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16.
