Bernese Blackburn
January 19, 1928 — June 7, 2019
- Bernese Blackburn, 91, of Dalton passed away at home on Friday, June 7, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Homer and Jesse Shoemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, W. H. “Billy” Blackburn Jr; sons, Johnny Blackburn and Jerome Blackburn; sisters, Pauline Gibson and Maebelle Murray.
Bernese is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James Blackburn, Joel and Kaye Blackburn, Jeffery Blackburn; daughter, Joan “Berna” Blackburn; 4 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Patricia Snyder.
The family would to thank Hamilton Hospice and special friend, Tina Braun for their loving care.
Services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Ash McEuen officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home from 2 until the service at 4.
