Mr. Louie Neal Sandidge, age 77, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on the morning of Thursday, April 9, 2026.
Louie was born on Thursday, February 24, 1949, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Jesse Woodrow Sandidge and the late Mrs. Martha Cudd Sandidge.
Louie was the owner and operator of Sandidge Machine Shop, which he started in 1984. He worked there until his retirement in 2013. Outside of work, Louie loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and spending time at the lake. He also enjoyed traveling and spending as much time as he could with his friends and his family.
Louie is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Judy Kaye Bryson Sandidge. He is also survived by his daughters, Tara (Danny) Skiffen and Shanna (Brian) Cate, as well as his grandchildren, Katelyn (Carter) Pendley, Kinsley Skiffen, and Braden Cate.
Louie is further survived by his sister, Charlotte Bartley; his nieces and nephews, Gena (Raymond) Smith, Chad (Bethany) Hughes, and Angie (Steve) Fauscett; and his great niece and great nephews, Cody Smith, Garrett Smith, and Steahl Smith. Louie is also survived by many close, lifelong friends.
Louie's family would like to extend their most sincere and heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Peeples Cancer Institute in Dalton for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided for Louie during the final years of his life.
Funeral services for Louie will be conducted on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Cofield officiating. Louie will be laid to rest in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Cody Smith, Garrett Smith, Ken Jackson, Tracy Sloan, Melvin Lake, Lincoln Lake, Josh Cartwright, and Luke Owen will serve as pallbearers.
Louie's family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday at Love Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
