Lawrence Robert Cline

Lawrence Robert Cline passed away on April 14, 2026, in Dalton, Georgia, at the age of 94. He was born on December 25, 1931, in Weyer’s Cave, Virginia, to Frank Melvin and Nellie Craun Cline. He was one of four children and the last surviving member of his family.

On August 4, 1957, Lawrence married Joyce Petcher who survives him after 69 years of life together. He spent most of his adult life in the Staunton and Augusta County, Virginia, area where he enjoyed a number of occupations. Among these were the testing of the components for the moon rover. He was a real estate broker, antique dealer/store owner, and restorer of old cars, but he was happiest traveling with his family and his dog.

Lawrence is also survived by sons Michael Lawrence Cline, David Wayne Cline, his wife Cindy Bowman Cline, and a grand-daughter Whitney Logan Cline.

He was often called to help aging neighbors when help was a long way away.

Larry was a kind and gentle man who lived his faith every day.

Services will be held at Royal Oaks, Dalton, Georgia, on a later date.
