Kathy Elaine McCurdy Bishop

Kathy Elaine McCurdy Bishop, 72, of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Madeline and Kenneth Fowler; father, William Paul McCurdy; brothers, Wayne McCurdy and Rex McCurdy; grandparents.

Kathy worked at Beaulieu for over 20 years and served as a foster parent for over 18. She loved her family, especially her son and granddaughters and treasured spending time with them.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Raleigh Bishop; granddaughters, Kyleigh Bishop and Marli Bishop; sister, Polly McCurdy; brother, Ray Fowler; nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Leanne Evans and the staff of Hamilton Home Health for their love and care.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Chaplain Rob Morton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 PM. Kathy will be laid to rest in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
