Judy Adams

Judy Adams, 79, of Rocky Face, Georgia, transitioned to heaven on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 9, 1946, in Hampton, Virginia. In 1979, she co-founded Dalyn Rug Company along with her husband, Bill Adams. She was involved in its success for over 46 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Julian Sharpton and Ann Sharpton, and her brother Dr. Bennie Sharpton.

Judy is survived by her husband Bill Adams; children David Adams (Myra), and Lynn Adams McIntosh (Bryan); grandchildren Kate Adams, Alice Adams, Julia Adams, Sarah McIntosh, Ann McIntosh, Alex Canady (Ashley), Abby Canady, and Ashley Storey (Tanner); great grandchild Sutton Storey; brother Dr. Doug Sharpton (Marie); sister Beth Phillips (Hoyt); sister-in-law Ruth Sharpton; sister-in-law Diane Fox (Dennis); brother-in-law Scott Adams (Ellen); and beloved nieces and nephews.

Judy’s heart for the Lord, her generous nature, her compassionate spirit, and her zeal for life inspired everyone around her. Her ability to make others feel seen and loved was one of her greatest gifts. She adored and cherished her family and her legacy lives on through them.

The family would like to thank Judy’s caregiving team for their amazing care and support, as well as the special friends and family who prayed for her.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9th, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Love Funeral Home in Dalton, Georgia. The celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM. Private burial will be at West Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Warrior Notes Ministries, or The Salvation Army.
