Johnny Carol Hicks

Mr. Johnny Carol Hicks, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in Hamilton Medical Center.

He was born in Dalton on September 25, 1955 to the late J. B. Hicks, Sr. and Mary Ray Hicks.

Johnny was an accomplished carpenter by trade and had a talent for building or repairing almost anything presented to him. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix or build especially when it came to cars and motorcycles. In his youth he was a passionate motorcycle and four wheeler enthusiast and cherished riding his bikes down Old Dixie and on the many trails in the Tilton community.

In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Diane Hicks. He is also preceded in death by his brother Harold Hicks, and his nephews Rusty Penson and Thomas Giddens.

Johnny is survived by his daughters, Keesha Ann Spence and Sharee Diane Posada; his grandchildren, Charity, Haleigh and Leah Spence of Dalton and Mia, Adan and William Posada of Atlanta. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Penson Giddens (Andy) and Mary Charlene Hicks; his brother, J.B. Hicks, Jr. (Peggy). Johnny is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as his life- long childhood friend, Joey Brown.

No public services will be held. A private burial service for his immediate family and close friends will be conducted at a later date.
