It is with profound sadness to announce the sudden passing of John Lewis Pullen
John was born on August 13, 1959, in Dalton, GA. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal friend, and avid golfer whose warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
After a long career in Information Technology, John retired in April 2026 and was looking forward to spending more time doing what he loved most- playing golf, grilling for family and friends, keeping his yard pristine, and making memories with those he loved.
Of all his roles in life, none meant more to him than being a father to his daughter, Taylor, and “Papa” to his beloved granddaughter, Vivian. They were the center of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to tell others how proud he was of them.
John will be remembered for his easy smile, kind heart, love of the golf course, and the way he made people feel welcome. Whether he was sharing stories after a round of golf or standing at the grill surrounded by family, he found joy in bringing people together.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Beasley (Ben), his cherished granddaughter, Vivian, his sister, Patty Girdler (Richard), brother, Tom Alvin Pullen Jr, and many extended family members, lifelong friends, and golf buddies who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor John’s memory by spending time with those you love, enjoying a round of golf, or simply sharing a meal with friends and family.
