Isabelle Gilbert

Mrs. Isabelle Brock Gilbert, age 100, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

She was born on Thursday, June 11, 1925, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Virgil Brock and the late Mrs. Maggie Dean Brock.

In addition to her parents, Isabelle is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Mervis Brackett Gilbert.  She is also preceded in death by her sons, Mervis Buell Gilbert and Charles Larry Gilbert.  She is further preceded in death by her grandson, Jackie Lynn Rolen, as well as her great-grandson, Justin Eric Hall.

Isabelle is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Sanford, as well as her son, Harold (Cindy) Gilbert.  She is also survived by her sister, Lois Patterson.

Isabelle is further survived by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Services to honor and celebrate Isabelle's life will be conducted on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Brock Family Cemetery at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour.
