Gracilean Stanley Wood

Gracilean Stanley Wood, 90, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Martin Stanley and Mildred Walston Stanley; husband, Charles Junior “Woody” Wood; son, Martin Lewis Wood; brothers, J.D. Stanley, John Frank Stanley, Clinton Stanley, Ralph Stanley, Leon Stanley and Edgar Stanley; sister, Linda Faye Casey; great grandson, Baily Charles Bredeson.

She is survived by her son, Charles Edward Wood; brother, Bryan (Donna) Stanley; grandchildren, Joseph Edward Wood, Rebecca Ann Robertson, Sonya DeAnn Waugh, Jeremy Leon Burrow, Michael Shaun Wood and Eric Dunn; 12 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.

Gracilean was a great Christian woman and a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a jokester and loved having a good time. She loved her family and friends dearly.

A funeral service will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Saturday at 11:00 am with Dr. Kelly Grant officiating. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday nights from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. 

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
