Flossie Nelson Ball

Flossie Nelson Ball, 89, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday April 1, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 ½ years Ray E. Ball, May 4, 2007; father and mother Wright and Gertrude Bailey Nelson; brothers and sisters in law, Bill (Rosie) Nelson, Hershel (Faye) Nelson, and Sue Langston; sisters and brothers in law, Virginia (John) Jackson, Katherine (Jack) Spence, and Clara (Robert) Hannah; step mother, Sybil Langston; nieces, Sandy Hannah McDade, Brooke Potts, and Pat Spence; nephews, Todd Nelson, Zackary Nelson and Phillip Potts II.

Flossie is survived by special nieces and nephews, Linda J. Potts, Nancy Nelson, Penny Cox, Bert Hannah, Ronnie Spence, Bill Nelson Jr., Alan Nelson, Ricky Nelson, Ken Nelson, Alan Langston, and Laura Langston; many more nieces and nephews, great, great and great; Kaye Thornberry; brother, Lloyd Langston; special God child Tiffani Tallent Casey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until 2 PM. Flossie will be laid to rest in Schneider, Kreischer, and Nelson Cemetery, 1826 Riverbend Rd. Dalton, GA 30721.

At Flossie’s request, flowers should be omitted and memorials should be made to the Schneider, Kreischer, and Nelson Cemetery or Antioch Cemetery.
