Era Dee Burnette Tallent

Era Dee Burnette Tallent, 89, of Cohutta, GA, passed away at Hamilton Medical Center on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lola Burnette; brother, Robert Burnette; sisters, Betty Burnette, Kathryn Jackson, and Bonnie Tudor.

Mrs. Tallent is survived by her husband of 71 years, Leon Tallent; children, Sharon (Randy) Chambers, Jeff (Donna) Tallent, Greg (Pam) Tallent, Chris (Darlene) Tallent; grandchildren, Jason (Paige) Eaton, Martha (Neal) Fitch, Brad (Nicki) Tallent, Sam (Candace) Eaton, Julie Tallent, Christopher (Clista) Tallent, Jennifer (Kyle) Pettyjohn, Tiffani (Michael) Casey, and DeAnna (Dexter) Gouger, and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Era Dee Burnette Tallent will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Walker, Pastor Darey Kittle, and Pastor Randy Postell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Love Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens.
