Debbie Thomas

Debbie Thomas, 76, of Dalton passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

For 35 years, Debbie dedicated her life to teaching with Whitfield County Schools. Through her years in the classroom, Debbie inspired young minds and helped shape the futures of countless children. Debbie was also a proud and devoted member of Peavine Baptist Church. She faithfully served as a nursery worker, caring for the church's youngest members. Debbie's legacy lives on through the many students she taught, the children she lovingly cared for, and the countless lives she touched through her faith and service.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Rose Thomas; grandchildren, Conner Thomas (Valerie), Grayvn Thomas, and Holden Thomas; great-grandchild, Oakley Thomas; brother, Chris Ketchum (Susan).

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Cousin Brian Fossett officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:30 until 6:30.
