Charles "Bill" William Simpson

Mr. Charles William "Bill" Simpson, 77, of Tunnel Hill went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry, of 40 years; son, Ross (Becca) of Hamilton, Virginia; daughters, Sarah Allen (Jon) of Rome, Georgia and Margaret Coughlin (Michael) of Boca Raton, Florida; grandchildren, Rowan Simpson and Madeleine Simpson; brother Jeremiah, sister, Jennifer MacAdam.

Bill was born in Sparta, Missouri on October 29, 1940 to the late Anna Chloe Ailor Wilson and Charles W. Simpson, Sr.   He was the owner of Simpson Machinery and Controls which continues to operate in Dalton.  He was passionate about flying, sailing, and spending time with his two grandchildren.  A Navy veteran, he previously served as the President of the Dalton Airport Authority, and was a former member of the Dalton Rotary Club.

A funeral service will be held at Love Funeral Home at 10am on Monday, March 19th.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
