Charlene Stanley Holloway of Dalton, GA, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Charlene was born on May 8, 1932, in Cohutta, GA. She grew up in the Riverbend community of Whitfield County and attended Valley Point school. In 1949, she married Warner Holloway of Boardtown, GA. While he attended college in Nashville, they had two children, Bruce and Jane. Sonya was born while they lived in Ellijay. Later, Charlene and Warner bought a farm in Dalton, returning to the Riverbend community. Charlene worked for Coronet Industries until she retired, she served the Church in many roles: teaching Sunday school, cleaning the building, working in the clothing room, and many more through the years. Her favorite way to serve, however, was cooking for any events at church and inviting people into her home for a meal. Warner and Charlene traveled to many places with their friends, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charlene is preceded in death by her husband Warner Holloway, her parents Vester and Hazel Stanley, and her brother Eugene Stanley.
Charlene is survived by her children, Bruce (Luanne) Holloway, Jane (Bobby) King, and Sonya (Michael) Mueller, as well as her grandchildren, Jenifer (Jon) Cooper-Evans, Philip (Cyndi) King, Cody (Amy) Holloway, and Tyler (Whitney) Holloway, Koby Mueller, and Sasha Mueller. Additionally, her great-grandchildren Tristan Cooper, Emalyn Evans, Cole King, Kate King, Madison Holloway, Ada Holloway, Aaden Holloway, and Ella Holloway.
The family would like to thank Dalton Square and Amedisys Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 11 AM. A private committal service will be held for family at Stanley Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Central Church of Christ youth program, Camp Wetoga (which Warner helped found), or to a charity of your choice.
