Carolyn Callie Nelson

Ms. Carolyn Callie Wooten Nelson, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Thursday April 13, 2023, at her home. Carolyn was born December 30, 1947 in Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert Vernon Wooten and Ruby Strickland Wooten. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert “Bud” Wooten and Clinton Wooten.

Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Janie Townsend, Faye Wooten, favorite niece, Cricket Dockery, nephews, Michael Tyree, Mark Wooten, and Jimmy Bryson. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Bobbie Wooten.

Service to celebrate the life of Carolyn Callie Wooten will be held Sunday April 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Lawhorn officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Saturday April 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
