Carol Jane Putnam

Mrs. Carol Jane Putnam, of Ringgold, Georgia, formerly of Dalton, Georgia, beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, in the early morning hours of Monday, August 25, 2025, following a brief illness.

Carol was born on Thursday, July 4, 1946, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Trammell Rudolph 'T.R.' Davis and Mrs. Elva Lee Rankin Davis.

In addition to her parents, T.R. and Elva Lee, Carol is preceded in death by her brothers, Mark Davis, Robert Davis, and Terry Davis.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Mr. Marion 'Putt' Putnam, whom she married in Dalton on Thursday, June 30, 1966.

Carol is further survived by her children, Mike (Lisa) Putnam and Allison (Darrell) Owens; her grandchildren, Brett Putnam, Tyler (Tessa) Putnam, Michaela (Jake) Nolan, Sydney Owens, and Sophie Owens; her brothers, Trammell (Nancy) Davis, David (Christie) Davis; and her sister, Donna Braud.  Additionally, Carol is survived by her sister-in-law, Judith Davis, as well as several nieces and nephews, along with many special friends.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Carol's life will be conducted on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Duane Mills officiating.  Carol will be laid to rest in the Dug Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carol's family will receive friends for visitation at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

In addition to flowers, Carol's family asks that memorial donations be made to Dug Gap Baptist Church (2031 Dug Gap Rd, Dalton, GA 30720).
