Brenda S. White "Genie"

Brenda S. White “Genie”, 80, of Dalton passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Sylvia Bivins; sons, Trennon Lamar Layman and Howard Franklin Layman (Sandra); granddaughter, Maegan Brianne.

Genie loved Jesus with all her heart and was gifted with remarkable musical talent. She loved animals, flowers, spending time outdoors, and creating crafts. Above all else, Genie cherished her family.

She is survived by her husband, Mike White; children, Sadonna Layman “Sissy” and Anthony Manis (Charlotte); bonus children, Scott White (Crystal) and Ginger Stinnett (Craig); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; half-sisters, Nan and Yvonne; special friends, Johnna and Brenda.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 3. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Though Genie will be deeply missed, her faith assures us that she is now at peace, singing among the angels and resting in the presence of the Lord.
