Betty Lee Jones

October 4, 1930 — February 16, 2019

Miss Betty Lee Jones, 88, of Dalton passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019, at The Gardens at Royal Oaks. She was the daughter of the late James M. and Marilou Godfrey Jones, and was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn E. Jones, and her sister, Moreen Headrick.

Betty was an active member of First Baptist Church of Dalton and a beloved family member. She is survived by her sister, Marian Kinney of Murphy, NC/Dalton, and her brother and sister-in-law, James G. and Kaye Jones of Dalton; nieces and nephews, Kenneth (Judy) Jones, Glenn F. (Mechele) Jones, Anita Clowdis, Diane (John) Young, Beth Beckler, Lori (Kenny) Lowery, Traci (Blake) Thomason, and Robin (Robby) Kerr; and, numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Services for Betty will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, at Dalton First Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Barlow and Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The First Foundation, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA 30722.
