Louise Burton

Mrs. Louise Abernathy Burton, 84, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late, William and Nola Gibson Abernathy and was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Annie Neighbors, Lee Abernathy, Carl Abernathy, George Abernathy and Frank Abernathy; brother-in-law, T. J. Neighbors.
Louise was a member of Freedom Baptist Church; was employed with Crown Cotton Mills, E. T Barwick and retired from J. and J. Industries.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jim McAllister of Dalton; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Abernathy and Fearby Abernathy both of Dalton; grandchildren, Karen (Sandy) Hankins and Scott (Kelley) McAllister all of Dalton; two very special great-granddaughters, Mallory McAllister and Makenna McAllister; special friend, Barbara Moore of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the the Rev. Doug Hasty, the Rev. Darey Kittle and the Rev. Bill Walker officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott McAllister, Sandy Hankins, Shane Abernathy, Russ Abernathy, Rick Abernathy and Rev. Robert Wilson.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 8 P. M.
