Mrs. Gussie Mae Skipper Amos Whitlock, 74, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late, Charles and Gertrude Skipper and was preceded in death by her husbands, J.D. Amos and Jack T. Whitlock; brothers, Charles Skipper, Price Skipper and Kenneth Skipper; great-grandchild, Sam Sucher.
Gussie work for Dr. Wells office, West Point Pepperell, Queen Carpet and American Eisbar.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gregg and Judy Amos, Mike and Janey Amos and Phil and Cathy Amos all of Dalton; daughter, Debbie Amos of Fayetteville, GA.; sisters, Martha Monteith and Mary Rogers both of Dalton; grandchildren, Josh and (Tiffany) Amos of Acworth, GA., Tanja and (John) Sucher of Cohutta and Zack and Christina Amos of Dalton.
Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday from the Dalton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Cannon and the Rev. Larry Flanagan officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the church on Monday from Noon till 2 P.M.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Preschool Sunday School Division, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA. 30722-0827.
