Thomas "Tom" Whaley

Mr. Thomas “Tom” L. Whaley, 87, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Lester and Nannie Patterson Whaley and was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Acree; and sisters, Edith Jones, Sue Wimpey and Jeanie Burgess.
He was a deacon and member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Whaley is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Emily Brown Whaley of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and David Fowler, Debbie and Doug Acree all of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Monica Whaley of Dalton; sister, Patricia Thomason of Dalton; grandchildren, Tara Miller, Mallory Whaley, Jerry Fowler, Kim Heard, Danielle and Alex Ezell; great-grandchildren, Alex Heard, Blake Heard, Cameron Heard, Devyn Heard, Ensleigh Heard, Jacob Fowler, Gavin Fowler, Riley Fowler, Brayden Fowler, Houston Clemons, Hannah Clemons, Connor Miller, Colin Miller and Oliver Ezell.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Staten officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
