Mr. Milton Lee Amos, 77, of Rocky Face passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of the late King and Lois Temple Amos and was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Wilson Amos. Milton was a Veteran of the Unites States Navy. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He was an antiques collector, canner and builder. Milton was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Amos of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Twana Amos of Rocky Face; sisters and brother-in-law, Patty Ruth McClendon of Sand Mtn., AL, Laphene Lane of Dalton and Gwendolyn and Lamar Blackwell of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Nicholas (Rebecca) Amos, Jacob (Jessica) Amos, Whitney Ware and Tyler McClure; great-grandchildren, Everett King Amos, Jasper Dale Amos, Prince Ware, J’Dun Hill and Xoeigh McClure; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Guffey and the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Friday after 5 PM.
