Jane Kennedy Carter

Mrs. Jane Kennedy Carter, 82, of Savannah, GA formerly of Dalton, passed away Thursday December 28, 2017 in Savannah. She was the daughter of the late, Qualls Barksdale Kennedy and Louise Dinkins Kennedy and preceded in death by her husband, Lane Carter and brother-in-law, Rev. Tom Price. Jane graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from West Georgia College with a Master of Education degree. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Paula Carter Green and Walt of Savannah, Myra Carter Garcia and Nick of Fayetteville, GA and Ray Kennedy Carter and Lori of Cummings, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Kennedy Looney and Tom of Crossville, TN and Nancy Kennedy Price of Godfrey, IL; and sister-in-law, Connie Carter Beach Cargal of Dalton, 14 grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Dalton First Baptist Church with the Pastor Bruce Beach and the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Atrium of Dalton First Baptist Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dalton First Baptist Church, P.O.
