Charles Huey Russell

Huey Russell went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning in his home.

He and his wife of 64 years, Jean Lacey Russell, made their home in Resaca, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Hoke Russell, mother, Pauline Grace Russell, and brother, Lendol Russell.

He is survived by his brothers, Sam Russell, and Bradford Russell; sisters, Betty Jane Russell, Louise Payne, and Lillian Gordon; children, Audrey and Tim Douglas of Resaca, Georgia and David and Lisa Russell of White, Georgia; grandchildren, Timothy Douglas, Tara and Christopher Reich, John and Laura Leigh Russell, Michael and Becka Russell, and Samuel Russell; great-grandchildren, Claire, Vivian, and Luke Douglas, and Charlotte Russell; special niece, Karen Wojcik; and a number of nieces and nephews; special friend, Shea Ross.

The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Russell will be held Friday, December 29, at 2pm at Love Funeral Home with Pastor George Ross and grandson, John Russell, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Swamp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be receiving guests Thursday, December 28, from 6pm-8pm.
