Bobbie Penn Burkett

Mrs. Bobbie Penn Burkett, 91, of Athens, GA and formerly of Dalton passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA.

Bobbie was the daughter of the late Clyde and Frances Cater Penn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman D. Burkett, Sr. in 2010. Norman was President of Hamilton Medical Center Health Care System for 37 years.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Norman D. Burkett Jr. and Missy of Athens and Tim Burkett of Norcross, GA; sister, Harriet Whittenburg of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Norman Alexander Burkett, Alison Ruth Burkett, Mark Alexander Burkett, Paul Francis Burkett and Carlie Elizabeth Burkett; great-grandchild, Winston Alexander Broxton.

Private services will be held.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
