John Shipman

Mr. John V. Shipman, 92, of Dalton passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Regency Park.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Belle Petty Shipman and children, James Floyd Shipman, Roy Shipman, Walter Shipman, Sue Waters and Peggy Carroll.

John is survived by his children, R.L. and Aletha Shipman of Cleveland, TN, Dennis Shipman of Sugar Valley, GA, Johnny and Edna Shipman of Cleveland, TN, Robert and Wanda Shipman of Chatsworth, Luke and Marie Shipman of Dalton, Clara and Earl Holland of Dalton, Mary and Terry Ogle of Dalton, Jamie and Bud Stover of Calhoun, Robbie and James Pickett of Dalton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Holland officiating.

Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Murray County.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.
