Margaret Atkins

Mrs. Margaret Smith Atkins, 97, of Dalton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Atkins and grandson, Scott Swanson.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Jean Mitcham of Perdido Key, FL and Teresa Atkins of Rocky Face, and grandchildren, Davis Swanson, Britt Wheat and Ashley Obear; she is also survived by five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at West Hill Cemetery on Lewell Street with Pastor Mark Amspaugh officiating.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home, the family will receive friends at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 2325 Chattanooga Road, Dalton Ga. 30720.
