Mrs. Nola Chadwick Manis, 85, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, Lewis and Hettie Hackney Chadwick and was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Tonya Shadwick, Jason Shadwick and Jason Walker; sister, Ethleen Key and Audrey Phifer; brother Ralph Chadwick.
Nola was a charter member of the Varnell Church of God and Church clerk for more than 40 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Raymond Manis of Tunnel Hill; son and daughter-in-law, James and Carolyn Pettit of Tunnel Hill; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie Shadwick of Ringgold and Barbara and Bobby Taylor of Tunnel HIll; stepchildren, and their spouses, Ken and Stephanie Manis of Crandall, Maria and Lamar Goble, Steven Manis, Wayne and Debra Manis all of Calhoun and Loretta and Rodney Walker of Choutta; sister, Mildred Swinney of Dalton; 20 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Love funeral Home with the Rev. Dallas Parker and the Rev. Trammell Campbell officiating.
Burial will follow in Dogwood Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral home Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
