Virginia Combs

Mrs. Virginia Estes Combs, 91, of Dalton, a loving, devoted and compassionate wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Regency Park Health Care Center.
She was the daughter of the late John B. Estes and Mary Porter Estes and was preceded in death by her brothers, John Estes, Jr., Charlie Estes, Joe Estes and Paul Estes.
Virginia was a graduate of LMU University and was a school teacher for 35 years before retiring in 1982.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Hubert Combs, Sr. of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Hubert and Judy Combs of Pleasant Garden, NC; grandchildren, Kimberly and Kevin Jarrell of Ft. Worth, TX. and Brett and Katie Combs of Julian, NC; great-grandchildren, Hannah Jarrell, Ethan Jarrell, Chase Combs and Sam Combs; sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma and Wayne Hall and Dorothy and Richard Jackson all of Dalton; brother and sisters-in-law, Frank and Judy Estes of Dayton, OH and Charlene Estes of Dalton; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Regency Park for their compassion and care for Virginia.
Funeral services will be Monday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Lonnie Starnes officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from noon to 3 P.M.
