Mrs. Mildred Williams, 86, of Dalton passed away Sunday April 1, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Claude and Artie Miss Long and was preceded in death by her husband, James Williams; daughter, Carolyn Smith Nelson; sister, Ruby Rowland; brothers, Harry Lee Long, Bill Long and Jack Long; dear friend, David Whitley.
Mildred is survived by her sons, John Arvin Smith of Dalton and Clay Smith of Mississippi; granddaughters and spouses, Leigh Ann and Robbie Sharp of Dalton, Amy and Leo Day of Kentucky and Kelly Smith of Chatsworth; great-grandchildren, Carson Sharp, Cameron Sharp, Valaree Day, Chase Day, Hannah Day, Ryan Day and Dalton Smith; brother, C. L. Long of Alabama; cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Gentry officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 11 to 1 P.M.
The family ask that flowers please be omitted and memorials made to one’s favorite charity.
